With 25+ years in machine learning and a foundation in academic research, Karthik's work bridge theoretical knowledge and practical applications across various domains. His AI/ML work encompasses both modern AI technologies and established ML methodologies. He has been teaching applied ML/AI for finance at Northeastern University for 4 years. Karthik has over 7 years of fintech and compliance experience in an education lending fintech where he was founder and CEO. The company raised over $50 Million and deployed $20 Million in capital in consumer loans in partnership with a nationally chartered bank and was one of the few for-profit registered CDFIs (community development financial institution) with the US Treasury Department.

He has previously worked as a coop intern at Bollard Group LLC where he conducted reconciliation of investment accounts monthly, ensuring data accuracy and regulatory compliance; researched and analyzed various investment instruments to support senior leadership's investment strategy; and managed record-keeping for high-net-worth clients, maintaining data security and confidentiality.
